What is CCD?

The Conquering Chemical Dependency Program is a faith based, Christ-centered twelve-step recovery program for individuals seeking recovery and deliverance from their addictions. This program is designed for those individuals who have identified their higher power as Jesus Christ, and who wish to adhere to the Judeo - Christian ethic. This program has been license exempted by the state of Texas, and approved by the Tarrant County Criminal Courts as a recognized twelve-step recovery program. The CCD program is currently being successfully implemented in both County and Federal correctional facilities as well as halfway houses, and homeless shelters throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth area. The CCD program works together with an alliance of Christian churches throughout the DFW Metroplex to implement recovery meetings similar to those conducted in the Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous organizations.

Any chemically dependent person wishing to participate in the CCD program must be sponsored by one of the participating churches or be assigned as a probationary condition from their assigned Probation Office. Once the individual is assigned to the program, he or she will be expected to attend the required number of meetings to fulfill their probationary conditions. Attendance records are kept and are made available to the Probation Officers upon request. This program is based on the proven concept of regeneration through faith in Christ, not rehabilitation. It is designed with accountability and individual responsibility in mind.

The treatment and recovery services at CCD of Texas are exclusively religious in nature and are not subject to licensure or regulation by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. This program offers only non-medical treatment and recovery methods, such as prayer, moral guidance, spiritual counseling, and scriptural study.
