Teacher Qualification Process

Job Description

  1. Attend Teachers' meetings.
  2. Adhere to the Policies and Procedures of CCDOT.
  3. Order CCD materials from the CCDOT office.
  4. Attend Prison orientation meeting.
  5. Teach the CCD Program to inmates/students in facilities such as prisons and jails, halfway houses, homeless shelters, businesses, rehabilitation facilities, and churches.
  6. Submit attendance record and status report to the CCDOT office.
  7. Attend a Bill Glass Day or Weekend of Champions once a year.

Job Specification

  1. Be born again.
  2. Basic Minimum Knowledge (BMK) of the Bible
  3. Ability to teach a class of students from various cultures, backgrounds, education and economic levels.
  4. Ability to maintain attendance record and write status report.
  5. Willing to submit to the authority of the CCDOT staff.
  6. Be punctual and faithful in attendance.
  7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Selection Process

  1. Submit to the CCDOT office the Teacher's Application, written Christian testimony, and a referral letter from their Pastor.
  2. Interview with the CCDOT Staff.
  3. Receive the Teacher's Packet and study the CCD materials. The Teacher's ultimate goal is to learn the twelve steps and their associated scriptures.
  4. Attend Teacher's orientation and training class.
  5. Attend recommended CCD Chapter at a facility.
  6. Second interview with the CCDOT Staff.
  7. Upon approval and facility assignment, contact the Chaplain or Leader of the facility.
  8. Arrange and attend an Introduction Meeting with the Chaplain or Leader.
