AfterCare Process

1.     The most critical period to prevent a repeated offense is the first six months after release.

2.     Steady employment is needed during the critical period.

3.     The CCDOT Director of Businesses will coordinate ex-offender employment resources

4.     Education improves the opportunity for steady employment.

5.     It's better to have an education and not use it, than to not have an education and need it. They can never take your education away from you.

6.     The inmate needs to be encouraged to take advantage of education while incarcerated.

7.     The CCDOT Director of Restoration Facilities will coordinate ex-offender education resources.

8.     The primary focus of CCDOT in the After-Care process is the provision of a church support group. But After-Care starts before they are released from the correctional facility.

9.      CCDOT Servants shall work the steps prior to accepting ex-offenders. To be a good teacher, you have to be a good student.

10.  CCDOT Servants shall attend monthly Chapter classes at the correctional facility to meet the inmates. This will encourage attendance in the church support group once the inmate is released.
