License Exemption Process

1. Identify program requirements for license exemption

1. Must be conducted by a religious organization

2. Must be exclusively religious, spiritual, or ecclesiastical in nature

3. Must not treat minors

4. Must be registered with the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse

2. Find religious sponsor that has tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).

3. Religious sponsor submits license exemption registration form with TCADA

4. Receive approval from TCADA

5. Have each student sign Declaration Form

6. Include religious disclaimer statement in all advertising
